I spend countless hours in cars vans and airplanes adventuring to the ends of the earth in search of the best waves possible. Skookumchuck in British Columbia was one my big trip last summer. I spent my nights sleeping in my hammock or in the Badfish Trailer. Skook is one of those places that you absolutely have to surf if your a river surfer. The speed and power are unmatched by any other standing wave that I have surfed. This also means you have one hell of a swim back to shore that can be nothing short of exhausting. Surfing at spots like this demand the upmost respect for the water because the consequences could be potentially devastating.
