Packing a volume of 250 liters in the 12’6” and 205 in the 11’, the R/T is built with more volume than similar boards that have as much as 18” more in length. Shaped with a narrow displacement entry, 31” width and wide tail with double concave bottom contour, this board is one of the most stable yet efficient paddles on the market.
The increased volume floats the rider high and dry, minimizing water accumulation on the deck. With a minimal 3” of rocker, the board’s draft is boosted giving this board maximum speed to length ratio. The slight rocker and higher tail volume make the board very forgiving in chop while picking up every little bump downwind. The modest upward curve in the entry ensures the nose won’t broach in choppy conditions or the backs of waves.
Ideal for slighter-framed paddlers looking for more stability in tougher conditions, paddlers looking for a stable platform for fishing or longer excursion paddling, or bigger paddlers on the hunt for volume other boards just don’t provide, the Doyle R/T is a great choice and a fantastic voyage in the making.
