FUSION® Entertainment, the worldwide leader in marine audio engineering, is proud to announce today that its STEREOACTIVE purpose-built floating portable watersports stereo was selected as the Coolest Product of the Show in the paddlesports accessory category at the 2016 Global Paddlesport Trade Show – PADDLE Expo. Kayak Session Magazine presented the award at the convention, which was held at the Nuernberg Messe (Exhibition Center), Nuernberg, Germany, October 7 through the 9, 2016. The PADDLE Expo Coolest Product of the Show is selected by a jury to highlight a product in each of eight categories that is revolutionary in its innovation, performance, design and utility.

“My experience is that when you take a market seriously and study closely what is required by the actual customer, you can quickly get ahead of your competitors. At FUSION we always do that and always will,” said Chris Baird, managing director, FUSION Entertainment. “After over ten years of product development in the marine and outdoor markets, STEREOACTIVE is our first venture into the paddlesports market. To be recognized by industry professionals at PADDLE Expo shortly after its launch at Surf Expo in Orlando is exactly the kind of reception we were hoping for. We are honored to receive this prestigious award.”

FUSION STEREOACTIVE is the world’s first purpose-built, portable watersports and active lifestyle stereo. With built-in Bluetooth audio streaming, AM/FM radio tuner with weatherband available in the U.S., USB audio playback and charging for smartphones, STEREOACTIVE offers an extensive array of audio playback options. The system is engineered with two 20-Watt 2.5-inch custom-designed directional speakers, a passive radiator and Class-D amplifier, and protected in a ruggedized housing that is perfectly tuned to deliver a high quality, powerful audio experience in the outdoor environment.

Its unique Puck mount system allows users to easily and securely attach the stereo to any paddleboard, kayak, boat or even hot tub. The Puck locking mechanism securely fixes STEREOACTIVE in place, even in the event of heavy vibration or capsizing. To keep valuables safe from the elements, FUSION has also incorporated the ACTIVESAFE, which will securely house any smartphone, vehicle keys, bankcards or loose change. In the unlikely event that it does become detached, both STEREOACTIVE and ACTIVESAFE are extremely rugged and float.

Packed with features, STEREOACTIVE has easy-to-press, scalloped buttons, which are controlled with the touch of a finger or the tap of a paddle. Users can also control the stereo with a mobile phone or Garmin Fitness watch thru the FUSION-Link app. STEREOACTIVE is capable of streaming audio via Bluetooth from any popular music service, from a compatible A2DP Bluetooth enabled device or playing music with the built-in AM/FM tuner and internal antenna. The unit also contains a waterproof cavity designed for a low profile USB for MP3 playback, while keeping the drive waterproof and IPx7 safe. Audio playback over USB is also available for mobile devices.
