About myself I enjoy taking extended trips to remote areas with this boat, as well as day paddling in varying conditions. 5 yrs experience, strong paddler. About the test environments Lake Simcoe: Home base. Nice water, tends to be gusty and can go from calm to stormy quickly. Has a tight swell spacing(compared to G.B.) and a quartering wave action that keeps you on your toes when going with the waves. I learned by experience to go with about 1/3 to 1/2 rudder depth in such situations is the best way to go. Glassy calm mornings make for nice cruising. The due north blowthrough from Katrina(straight onshore breeze/gail where I'm at) was the best play-test this boat ever passed.
