Thank god for the Rescue Pod! Every Full On Vest comes with a small personal throw bag, the Rescue Pod. It’s compact, so doesn’t get in the way. It’s on your person, so you’ll always have a rope, regardless of where your boat has ended up. Packed with 5mm floating Spectra (660kg) it’s just enough to help out when you’re stuck in spot you’ve never even imagined before. It’s been used as a climbing rope, thrown from a boat to rescue a paddler from a cave, quick access rescues, and much more.
We ship the Full On Vest with an empty Rescue Pod, so you can choose your ideal rope for the conditions you generally paddle in. We have found that 5mm floating spectra rope makes a good compromise between length and strength, so that’s what we’re recommending.
