The Horizon was designed shortly after the Solander in response to a request for a kayak with slightly more stablity and with most of the Solander's easy responsive paddling characteristics.
A bit more volume was added to the chines creating a medium sized kayak that is moderately chined for initial stability. It tracks well and is easy to turn when leaned on its slight chine.
