Shaping some Standups

Shaping some Standups was created by Strand Leper
The long awaited shaping morning is here. Master shaper Roger Hinds and I are going to knock out a couple of boards Sunday morning. One based on the Mach Bobby Roger (8'2") the other based on the Corran freaking genius TimSUP (7'3") . Stay tuned for pics and vid.

I was thinking of going full MMA pay per view with ring card girls and everything... But each time I would recruit (for the ring card girls) in the parking lot of the local junior college... They would call the cops.

Crazy amazing shaping session that I instagrammed (@strandleper) but I will take some time this weekend to post... just killed at work... huge consulting project... big deposition Thursday.... and tons of new cases rolling in the door... SLAMMED!

Sitting in my bonus room, waiting to drop off at Chelu's for glassing... will be grabbing some REALLY good rum (one bottle at delivery... the other at pickup) to ensure their quick completion.

Here is a TimSUP inspired 7'3" ... Also inspired by an old bear template called the Wombat. Kind of double ender-ish. Spoon under the nose for tip time. Big vee running pretty far up the board.

Looks like a sweet ride! Roger still isn't leaving much foam in those rails is he? I remember that little elf shoe nose in the old Wombat. It's one of the things I never really understood but I'm no Roger Hinds. It definitely looks like a close relative of the TimSup with just a bit more knife to it. Very interested to see how it goes. As well as the new Asymm.
