What are your thoughts on the new "rectangular" yoga board design coming out from Riviera and Pau Hana for 2014?

The snapshots I've seen of Riviera's new rectangular boards look like they're surf-specific, or for racing/touring.
As for the Pau Hana 'Lotus,' it looks very stable for doing yoga... but will it be good for anything else?
I am interested to see if the market is there for a yoga-only board; even if I was a yoga SUP'r, I think I'd still want a board that paddles well.

Oh I haven't seen that one yet. I bet you they will be popular for yoga SUP fleets.

Seems pointless - the additional 1" per side in the last 2"-3" of the board isn't going to make the slightest bit of difference to stability, while offering a nice and sharp corner to bang yourself on when you fall. I think it's a marketing ploy - but why not? I suppose you have to do something to stand out - why not make a rectangle board
