Tested on: Class 3-4 rivers in the south east US. Little River, Tellico, Ocoee and several others. Fun boat in smaller creeks and some larger water. Turns fast in eddies and peelouts. Fairly stable with the wide planning hull which also makes interesting rolling being so wide. Not a boat to learn how to roll in! If you get deep it surfaces like a cork at rocket speeds. On the larger water it tracks like crap so you will always have a paddle in the water. Very comfortable outfitting! I can spend all day in the SCUD and never feel cramped. On the lower volume creeks this boat is a dream. FUN! Fun but it shouldn't be your ONLY boat! This is the first creeker I have owned but have paddled a Rocker, Jefe and a Gus with much enjoyment. Went with the SCUD because I feel more "in tune" with not so much boat to handle. If you are into low volume creeks that require small, tight eddy turns this is a boat to look at for sure.
