Little Wing 12.5 is well suited for small to medium sized paddlers. Although it is the smallest of the Little Wing fleet, the 12.5 has ample storage space and exceptional speed. It is an excellent day touring boat and, at just 22 pounds, the 12.5 is easily car topped.

New for 2010, Stellar Racer (SR) is designed to be stable and fast, with a length of 19' 3" and beam of 19". This boat will be the choice for those looking to transition from a touring kayak or those who lack confidence in rough weather.

New for 2010, Stellar Elite Small (SES) is set to revolutionize the Surf Ski industry. Finally a boat specifically designed for lighter weight paddlers, where the length, beam, depth and wetted surface fit the paddler. The SES has been optimized in every way to suit the smaller paddler, as compared to the competition. Other companies simply use their existing hull designed for large paddlers. They reduce the height and make a smaller cockpit to fit a smaller paddler, but you are still paddling a hull which is designed for a large paddler.

Released in 2009, the Stellar Elite (SE) has become known for its speed and stability. Paddlers worldwide recognize this once they try the boat. Unlike no other boat on the market today, the SE provides you with the stability and the confidence to truly push yourself in all conditions without compromising speed. We accomplished this by keeping the boats wetted surface area low below the water line, yet having the hull flare out a little above the water line, providing secondary stability when you need it.

The Stellar Tandem 17 is ideal for family outings in lakes and rivers. The wide beam provides a stable platform for paddling and the generous cockpit openings make it easy to enter and exit the boat. Dry storage in bow and stern hatches provide ample room for your gear, whether a light snack or gear for a multiple day adventure.

Similar to the S16, the Stellar 18 (S18) Touring Kayak was designed for speed and stability for long distance tours. With additional length and reduced beam, this boat glides through the water. Moderate concavity along the keel of the bow and stern helps with tracking in rough conditions. For windy days and follow seas, a drop-down rudder off the stern will help keep your course. Higher decks allow for a dryer paddle in rough conditions and a large stern and medium bow compartment provide ample storage for your longer tours.

When designing the Stellar 14 (S14) Touring Kayak, we wanted to have a boat that was efficient through the water, yet stable. Unlike any other boat of this length, the S14 has the speed of a much longer boat, but beginners can feel comfortable paddling it. A large hatch in the stern allows for ample storage for day and overnight trips, while the retractable skeg in the stern helps with tracking. Its short length and light weight make it ideal for those who want a high performance boat, but are short on storage space or frequently car-top their boat.

The Wilderness 18 was designed by Keith Robinson to give the more experienced paddler some added water speed while still retaining load capacity and stability. While we believe the needs of novice paddlers are best served in our Quetico line of canoes, we find many experienced trippers absolutely love the Wilderness 18.

In collaboration with Trailhead, one of Canada’s premier outfitters and suppliers of wilderness equipment, Souris River Canoes builds a Prospector 16’ canoe.

We have experienced an increased demand by families and outfitters for a larger capacity canoe. Not only does the Quetico 18.5 allow for high capacity loading, but it retains amazing stability and handling characteristics. Even when heavily loaded, this canoe is easy to paddle. When it comes time to portage, you’ll be impressed with how light it is. Other canoes on the market with the Quetico 18.5’s capacity and performance do so with a ridiculous increase in overall length. This equates to more handling difficulties both on water and while threading your way through the woods on a portage. The vast majority of Quetico 18.5s are outfitted with three seats.

The Quetico 17 has become recognized as the ultimate wilderness tripping canoe. If you paddle the wild places in Canada and the U.S., you will find dozens of them. That’s no accident! These canoes are ultra-light, incredibly tough and very stable. They handle like a dream under any load conditions. When you get caught paddling hard into the face of a headwind, you’ll be very glad you’re paddling a Quetico 17. It rides high on the waves and takes in very little water over the gunwales, a trait you’ll be sure to appreciate if you’ve ever paddled one of our competitors’ “lowrider” designs.

Novice and experienced paddlers alike will love this canoe, designed by Keith Robinson. You will find it quick on the water, yet extremely stable for a 16 footer. It tracks very well and manoeuvres with ease.
