Four may be considered a crowd but not on a Red Paddle 14’0” Ride L. This large inflatable SUP was specially conceived to be ridden by groups of paddlers wanting to share some fun on the water. At 14′ long and 47″ wide, this board has a wide deck and tail and is ultra stable so that you can get serious team effort going. That said, sharing a paddleboard with a group is rarely a serious affair, and it can sometimes end up being one game of last man standing. Whatever you use the Ride L for though, you can be safe in the knowledge that it was built to the same high standards as the rest of the Red Paddle Co range and can withstand a bit of rough and tumble.

Stand-up paddleboarding is for everybody, not just the grown-ups, which is why we make the 9’4” Snapper, a SUP for kids up to 60kg/132lb. Racing SUPs is great fun and fantastic exercise, which is why the race scene is expanding rapidly. The big problem for most paddlers, though, is that race boards are long and heavy, which makes them difficult to transport and store. The Red Paddle Co 12’6” Race solves that problem. There are now kids SUP races all over the world. If you’re a young gun looking for a practical, high-performance board that’ll help you mix it in race conditions, we recommend the 10’6” Max Race. It’s designed for speed and close competition in the youth racing class and for riders up to a maximum of 70kg/155lb – once you’re over that, you’ll need to look at the 12’6” Race (right). Travelling round the world with a surf SUP isn’t easy. First of all, they’re huge and they don’t mix well with airports or airplanes. And there’s always the risk your board will get dinged in transit. Annoying. If the 10’6” Ride is the family car of paddleboards, the Sport range is the sports car. The 11’0” Sport offers a step up from the Ride family and has been designed for the more experienced paddler to deliver more speed and dynamic performance (although they’re not race boards). Their secret lies in their shape. They’re narrower than a Ride, so they cut through the water more cleanly, and the drawn-out nose section gives them more glide across the water. The 11’0” offers fast inflation and great flat-water performance for riders up to 90kg/198lb, the 11’3″ is suited to a slightly larger rider, while the 12’6” is ideal for longer touring trips. The smallest of the Ride family is the 9’8” Ride, a board designed for all-round usage for lighter riders. You’ll get the best out of it if you’re under 70kg/155lb, but that doesn’t exclude heavier riders. In fact, for heavier riders, the 9’8” makes a great surf shape. Key to the Ride’s versatility are its dimensions. It’s 787mm/31” wide and 100mm/3.93” thick, which makes it a stable but manoeuvrable board. It’s a great board for beginners, but because it’s been stiffened with our RSS battens, it delivers a fantastic experience for more advanced riders, too. The 9’8” Ride also has cargo tie-downs on the front for a dry bag. A true hybrid board designed to merge the performance characteristics of a flat water board with a more recreational small surf paddler. Flip the board over and you’ll notice the pulled point nose with pronounced vee shape that cuts through lake/bay chop with ease. Moving back to the tail you’ll see pronounced vee and a FUTURE 44cm center fin for great tracking and enhanced maneuverability on small surf. The El Rey has enough volume to float larger riders, explore with your kids, the family dog, you name it. A great board for bays and lake paddling that can also be used for surf. The Ocho is the perfect weapon for destroying your local surf break. A true step down shape, this board is very popular with those moving from larger boards and looking for performance while retaining stability. Don’t be the guy falling over the line up on some tiny board, instead this board allows for easy paddling and wave catching while still ripping turns and lip smacks. We have woman 115lbs to guys over 220 ripping on this board and loving the balance between drive, performance and stability. Full 5-fin sup up allows you to run this shape as a quad or a thruster while the wide pin tail will drive you down the line and smack whatever surf you throw at it. From 2ft to 10ft the Ocho has seen it all and delivered smiles.

The scaled down version of the popular Ocho model, this shape keeps things real with performance dims but still retains good stability and wave catching traits at 8.2 x 29 x 4.25. This board is carbon but we beefed up the construction vs skimping to last many seasons of use and abuse. A great balance of good weight and great durability. Features lightweight EPS core, bamboo deck and PVC re-enforced fin boxes and hours of shredding.
