This inSUP model was based on our Na Pali Race board shape, its more pointy nose brings more directional stability while paddling. We narrowed this board for increased speed, and kept the thickness for continued stability and ease to use. Its longer length and narrower design still makes this Stand Up Paddle board ideal for learning, recreational paddling, and for long distance touring adventures as well as racing. It is a perfect for those seeking the quality of Art in surf and the versatility of a portable equipment. Built with a double layer PVC with a high quality drop-stitch rigid inflatable chamber, this board can be pumped up to 15PSI in under 5 minutes, and be ready for action wherever your adventure takes you!

The XT range was developed for the heavier paddler in mind; it’s extra width allows for a very stable and fast paddle. The 29-wide was developed for the smaller paddler. These boards offer an excellent stable ride, allowing paddlers to enjoy the training and racing side of SUP.

BOGA’s heritage in the SUP Race scene is proven, with multiple Elite and regional wins across the globe. Our attention to detail and our focus on building fast yet stable race boards remains for 2015 with the newly designed Typhoon shape. After studying the changing climate of racing and board technologies we shaped the 2015 model with 3 main goals: Sprint Speed, Stability and what we call Slipperyness. For Speed we have a board without standard top speed limitations, one that can get up on plane and holeshot easily. For Stability we didn’t roll the bottom, instead we added a large single concave running from center and exciting the tail. And for Slipperyness, we removed the nose chin and flattened the bottom entry, moving the wide point forward to create a nose that “skips” on top of the water and doesn’t hold a line. All this translates into a board that can get up and over 7-8MPH in sprints for good starts, handles the draft train well without feeling “sticky” and has the stability both Elites and Recreational racers have come to appreciate.

As the pioneers of Standup Paddle racing, we have been through countless different shapes and sizes over the years and have found the 14’ size to be the best board for all conditions. The 14’ Malolo is the next generation in our long line of designs, and it is the best yet. Our testing has found that deck and bottom wood veneer laminates provide the lightest, strongest, least expensive ‘skin’ to complement our featherlight EPS-cored SUPs. These very thin veneer sheets are sandwiched between successive layers of fiberglass and epoxy resin and then pressure molded around the EPS core.
