Was at camp ground on the 01/10/2010 when to check out the falls, an found the gate lock later found out that. They keep gate gate limit puplic in to area due tree an until the fix the gate maybe lock. You can carry your boats down but long walk from the start cannel an dam, but if you make contact with the guys that mantain for the engergy company the try to keep access for kayakers. An if gate are open beware of strainners due amout tree that have gone down the river in the last 3 weeks. if you go for paddle please post what see.
