First up is ninja river surfer Vanessa Taylor. ------------------------------------------ 'My goal this past season was to intermingle my 2 vast passions. These being motherhood and stand up paddling, specifically surfing. Now that my kiddos are out of diapers and much more sure footed on the slippery rocks lining my favorite surf wave, Ponderosa in Durango, I can bring them along. We divide our time skipping rocks, cheering on all our paddling friends, practicing swift water runs, and making sure 'mom' gets in a lengthy, exhilarating surf sesh! As my girls get older it has been so much fun to get them out on my Badfish river surfers in the eddy in preparation to learn how to surf themselves one day. I'm already looking forward to spring run off when we can do it all over again and take it up a notch!'
