Formed 1982, Nithsdale Canoe Club is located in Dumfries.
The club is SCA affiliated. It is fortunate to have its own clubhouse and a fair selection of kayaks/canoes.

Most forms of kayaking are undertaken with the most popular being whitewater and sea kayaking.

We paddle most weekends on the local rivers and Regularly venture further afied. Recent whitewater trips have been to various parts of Scotland on rivers such as the Orchy, Findhorn, Roy and Tummel. Club members have also ventured to France and Austria and it it hoped that some surfing trips will be organised in the near future. Participation is enjoyed more for social pleasure than competition.
