A fish does not have spinal fusion and neither should your paddleboard. Unlike in surfing where a wave provides awesome power, on the flats we must make our own waves. A rigid tailfin is an inefficent compromise that wastes much of our effort in the form of drag. The result is a board that is neither efficient, stable or agile. Not any more.
