“Maximum performance in minimum conditions.”
A larger version of the highly regarded Air Born range for maximum shredding in smaller surf. Thin rails and profile (thickness) combine with the width for a stable yet sensitive and highly responsive ride.
Drive and acceleration, when the wave is lacking power, is provided by the monoconcave bottom creating the ability to generate speed and project vertically.
Although a fast rocker, it’s still able to fit in the pocket for tight carves with release coming from V in the tail for letting the fins go when desired.
“Continuous mono-concave”
Fins
•Comes standard with Quad and Thruster fin boxes, however the board is designed to be used with a quad set-up. The addition of a nubster fin, a quad fin configuration can be enhanced with extra drive, acceleration and directional stability. (Fin is sold separately though FCS).
Wood Technology
• STRONG, LIGHT AND EXCLUSIVE.
• THE ORIGINAL WOOD TECHNOLOGY SINCE 1994.
• 15 kg/m3 fused cell core for light weight and increased water resistance.
• A 500 kg/m3 veneer of 0.6mm biaxial Australian Pine forms an outer layer on the deck resulting in extra impact resistance, rigidity and further improved overall hull integrity.
• A three-dimensional glass laminate is wetted out with high grade expanding epoxy resin. This creates a thicker impact resistant outer skin with increased overall hull strength.
• Glass rail reinforcements for extra stiffness against snapping when nose diving.
• Extra reinforcements are placed around all inserts, resulting in zero insert damage reports so far.
• Starboard pioneered molded wood technology in 1994 and first introduced it to their Surf and Windsurfer board lines.
