The name says it all. Hang on to your paddle and get ready for a ride! The Savage is a solo specialty canoe designed for swift flowing streams and rivers, handling up to Class III whitewater for experienced paddlers. The high sides and flared bow help in large waves and rapids to assure a dry trip.
This canoe was originally designed as a down river racing canoe, so get ready and hang on. The hull is designed to be maneuverable in whitewater, but don't let those flatwater stretches worry you, the Savage will cruise almost as fast as the Otegan. This design is best paddled while kneeling to achieve the full potential of its performance and achieve the greatest stability. It can also be paddled while in the sitting position on flatwater. It also has plenty of volume for those wilderness camping trips. If you enjoy paddling rivers and streams with whitewater and want a high performance canoe, consider the Savage.
