Great Boat!

About the reviewer

Im pretty new to playboating

Test environment

River Dart, Exe and swimming pool

Review

The boat is just brilliant! I find it super easy to double pump (foward and reverse), and cartwheeling is just a breeze. I do find it hard to balance on end but that may be through lack of practice. I have only used it on very small waves but it has no problem staying on the smallest ripple. Having also paddled a G-force I much prefer this boat and soo do a few G-force owners I know. The Robson also has fair river running ability and can boof pretty well.

Conclusion

A excelent boat for a beginner or advanced paddler. I definately recomend this boat.

Fantastic Boat, proper good fun!

I have been paddling the NRG since April 2005. It took me a while to get used the boat, but it was excellent once mastered. I am very confident on WW and enjoy new challenges, and the boat hasn't ever let me down.

The main places where i have paddled it, are the Nene WW Centre, Northampton and the Tryweryn, North Wales. On the Nene i mainly do playboating, and the tryweryn is a good river for river running!

The boat is excellent for surfing, it will sit in most waves and it's very easy to spin around and do the normal tricks! In a hole it will cartwheel with minimum effort, and is good for at least 6-7 ends, (but that also depends on moi).

It's dying to be looped properly, as it's designed mainly for aerial moves, sometimes i can get the odd one, but once i can loop properly i am sure that it will be great.

For river running i have no problems with it, it does kick up, giving you a great sky view when going over drops but if you can control it, it's fine!! The normal ferry gliding etc is fine no probs.

On flat water it's easy to cartwheel, bow and stern stall, and it's going to be flat water looped!!!

Its small length and main volume around the cockpit makes it easy to throw around.

Comfortable to sit in for an hour or two, once padded out to suit, and it's got a very trustworthy and comfy back rest.

Fantastic playboat, will take anything you throw at it. I definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to take their paddling to the next level!! Don't take my word for it, have a go of one!!
