Tekno is a revolution in freestyle kayaking; the one paddlers have been waiting for: a no holds barred, aggresive, high perfromance play machine.

Paddlers using a Tekno are easy to recognize: they're always airborne and moving fast; pushing the boundries of what is possible in a kayak. Holes, waves and eddies, big or small the Tekno is designed to exploit what every water droplet has to offer. Take your kayaking to the next level - take the Tekno out for a ride.

About Me
Im 19 years old 17 stone, and 6"6'. i have been paddling for 4 years on whitewater, longer on flat
Pros / The Good
Excellent shape, it just cuts through the eddies and currents, it goes where i want it to go providing im willing to work a bit. if im honest it scares the cr*p out of me which is why i like it, you can go full whack at pretty much anything and come out OK! the most fun ive had in it was on the river dart, that was excellent. im a bit over the weight limit by about 10KGs but it seems to cope ok, im tall and i fit in, although i have taken the footrests out. its just sex on water!
Cons / The Bad
the V shape on the front can produce a fair amount of spray but it depends on what sort of river you are on. if you in fast flowing rapids, who cares? but if youre surfing its a bit of a pain, salt water and eyes dont mix very well! i cant fault anything else though!

About the reviewer

i am a fifteen year old and this was the first playboat that i had experienced. as i had learnt in a dagger blast this was a big change.

Test environment

oulton broad

Review

the boat was a great first time playboat and i had enjoyed paddling it, a feature that i didnt like to much was the forked front, this constantly sprayed water into my face and effected my visibility im sure it has a reason but still... i liked the boat but think it was designed for bigger paddlers as i had alot of room and struggled at first to through it around. also has great outfitting, including drink holder and easy accessible foot and back adjusters.

Conclusion

good but better for bigger paddlers. only fault is forked front.
