ENTER A NEW Z.

ONE

A descendent of the legendary InaZone, the Z.One has newly developed features that have been modernized for today`s paddling styles.

The paddler gets a substantially greater control over the movement of the kayak on the water, improved balance and a lifted knee position for more efficient paddling strokes.

Aspiring kayakers will benefit from the Z.Ones stability and manoeuvrability whilst surfing a wave or on any river features you want to play or run, whilst those returning from a few years off will find a kayak that feels familiar enough for them to engage with and get back into the sport.

"The Z.One is a very fun boat, it is also very forgiving and I had a blast in the bigger holes with it. It felt very balanced from bow to stern, it was comfortable and was fast. I was able to carve plenty, but more importantly I could spin this boat on like a one foot wave, the hull is very loose. "

Good boat for level 4 ++

About the reviewer

kayaker from 1990

Test environment

River from 4 to 5 level manoeuvrable

Review

I was always in love with the Inazone and as soon as I could, I bought the Z. One. Compared to the previous model, the stern is less flat, but it immediately becomes a habit. This season I used it on rivers of level 4 +. I find it very stable and above all fast breaks good holes and did not decompose, even the tail narrower than the old model is not taken and does not make enders involuntary. I am very satisfied.

As defects : the support for feet is small and should be enlarged and the tip of the boat is breakable with the rock (like Inazone).

Sorry for the english I have used Google translator.

Conclusion

Boat easy and stable

Z.One is not the One

About the reviewer

First season whitewater kayaker

Test environment

Downriver run and whitewater play

Review

I had great hopes for this boat and was especially looking forward to a good competition to the new Dagger Axiom 8.5. I was sorely disappointed. Side by side, the two should be very comparable: similar length and width and hull design, with a bit less volume than the Axiom. The hull was apparently the biggest disappointment as it has a slightly curved bottom with planing edges that just don't cut it. In comparison, it pointed poorly when paddling in flat water, was much more prone to roll, but without good tight edges for bracing. The Z.One is also much more difficult to roll up than the Axiom. In whitewater it felt squirrly and difficult to control.

Outfitting was a loser, too. The back brace provided very poor support and sat too low on the back. At my height it almost might as well have not been there. I did all I could to tighten the back strap all the way before pulling forward with the cam straps, but nothing provided much support. The forward bulkhead was much smaller than the hull at mid-length causing it to bite my toes when smacking a rock.

I never tried the classic Ina.Zone it evolved from, but I hope it was better.

Conclusion

Definitely not a keeper.
