The successor to our very popular Seafarer K-2, the Hyak is an exellent choice for a nimble expedition double.
It features roomy cockpits and reasonable storage volume. The Hyak has soft chines and is slightly narrower than many of the doubles on the market, making it a lively boat to paddle. Being more nimble and responsive than most doubles, the Hyak is fun in surf and on the open ocean. The large buoyant bow, with paddlers located in the centre of the kayak, makes for a dry ride and adds to the kayak's storage capacity.
Further Specs:
Weight for Kevlar: 79 lbs
Storage Volume Bow Hatch: 90 litres
Storage Volume Bow Cockpit: 195 litres
Storage Volume Mid Cockpit: ****
Storage Volume Stern Cockpit: 255 litres
Storage Volume Stern Hatch: 150 litres
