The bullitt X s hp boat hardcore competion boat c..
Since its launch nearly 2 years ago the Bullitt “S” has established itself as one of the most user friendly and versatile surf kayaks available.
Whilst this new model shares the same heritage there the similarities end. The “X” Is not a replacement for the “S” as its feel and performance characteristics are very different .
The Bullitt "X" s is way more hardcore and aimed squarely at the competition scene.
More entry rocker: For those suicidal late take off's at its debut a couple of weeks ago on a big day at Widmouth yours truly had the confidence to drop of big vertical walls and much to the amazement of others around was not only making the drop but rapidly getting back up the top for some awesome rides.
The narrower front end and softer rails combined with slightly increased tail rocker make the “X” much snappier giving the feel of a much shorter boat. It is equally at home with or without fins.
Paddle out and take off speed have not been compromised and the ability to punch out over big heavy beach breaks or catch and get a ride on 1 foot of slop make this the perfect all-round competition kayak.
Competitive experience over way to many years has shown that for every event where you get an “Ideal” wave, you are going to get a whole lot more where its “huge, heavy, small, mushy, windy.
These are the conditions where the “X” will be in its element, off course on the rare occasions when we get good conditions, the sky's the limit!
The Bullitt “S” has already won the World Cup, and from the start of 2009 has featured in the majority of the finals in UK domestic contests. The “X” s is sure to continue the trend.
