A truly classical shape. Responsive and predictable under all loads and conditions when paddled solo or in tandem.
H2O Composite Canoes - Heritage Series
Welcome to the exciting collection of H2O Composite Canoes.
We are currently offering a four model lineup we call Heritage Series.
We have developed this line celebrating the rich heritage of canoes paddled in Canada. From the North American Natives who crafted the first dugout canoes to the pioneers who who developed wood strip construction, our Heritage series pays tribute to the history of the canoe and the gift which has become a fixture in the ultimate Canadian outdoor experience.
Our Heritage series is a collection of original H2O Composites designs and refined versions of classic shapes with many of the "Traditional" features and qualities of the past retained.
Each model in the Heritage series carries its traditional name proudly on its recurved bows as well as the silhouette of an animal that shares the characteristics of that particular model. Below in our individual model descriptions we proudly spell the name of each animal in the traditional native language paying tribute to the developers of the canoe who shared the earth with these animals and should always be recognized as having created one of Canada's greatest gifts to the world.
"Nika" - Goose in Ojibwe. Like the great Canada Goose, the Prospector has been everywhere a body of water exists. Truly a piece of Canadian Heritage.
The H2O Composites version has been lengthened at the water line and has had its rocker reduced from the original. The original prospector was designed to carry loads, not typical in modern tripping, and abundant rocker was necessary to make turning possible. Experienced paddlers find the Prospector both responsive and exciting on extended trips
Specifications:
Rocker - 2.5"
Industry’s Lightest Kevlar Canoe With Gel Coat Color
Beautifull two tone paint with pinstripe
Top - Selection of UV stable colors
Bottom - Highly visible white gel coat
100% Kevlar fabric inside and out Proprietary core system
Includes rigid foam hull core
high strength to weight ratio
UV resistant clear coat inside
Extended Life and easy to clean
