DBxclusive are excited to announce the launch of their second surf kayak: the Fusion 7’7".
Nathan Eades designer of the Fusion 7’7" had this to say about his new creation: Dave and myself have been listening carefully to the feedback from the original Fusion, we’ve based the 7’7" on this feedback and my own findings. We gave it more length to carry more speed through the slower sections of a wave and make it a kayak that suits more surfing conditions and abilities. We softened the rails along the length of the 7’7" to make it more forgiving as you come down after smashing the lip and made the front slightly narrower so that you can make a tighter bottom turn to carry speed up to the lip. I had mixed feedback about the extruded rail on the original Fusion, people liked it but it caught some surfers out right at the front, so we took this away, making the boat less aggressive and instead the rail comes in 30cm back from the front. The performance advantages are still present. I’m really pleased with the result, a much faster kayak which pulls off all the difficult moves easily and hits air like it is a basic manoeuvre!
The fusion 7'7" is fully customized to suit the paddlers needs i.e. weight and height are important to us so we can customize the seat to trim the fusion 7'7" to the maximum performance.
We also offer a thruster set of fins in plastic and a higher spec carbon set of fins which are fitted to the top spec foam boat as standard.
The boat is available in 3 different lay ups:
• £800 gets you a combination of Glass fibre and Kevlar Carbon
• £1000 gets a full Carbon Kevlar with epoxy
• £1300 for a Foam core Carbon Kevlar with epoxy
All boats come with buoyancy blocks, foam footrest and seats fitted.
