Full sized and fully functional as a recreational touring kayak, the Vision 150 delivers an excellent mix of efficiency and maneuverability.

With a standard rudder and longer 15’ length, the Vision 150 displays the highest level of tracking amongst the solo Vision line. The Vision 150 is a perfect step up boat for beginners allowing for further technique and skill development.

All members of the Vision family have a generously sized keyhole cockpit that allows for easy entry and exit, as well as ample foot room and large storage capacity. They also feature lower faceted decks that have minimal wind exposure making for an enjoyable in-control paddling experience. These features coupled with the confidence inspiring 24” beam allow the Vision 150 paddler to experience a true kayak fit and feel while developing a myriad of skills at their own pace.

The Vision 150 is constructed from a vacuum bagged composite of aramid and fiberglass, which allows for an unsurpassed combination of light weight, stiffness, toughness and value. The Vision 150 is also offered in a budget conscious rotomolded polyolefin construction.

This is a rare 'Hybrid' kayak that can keep up with the big boys.
Overall excellent handling characteristics combined with sleek good looks and it is light-45lbs. This yak seems impervious to wind and slices through the waves as opposed to riding over them, both probably the result of it's low profile which also results in less pack space. However, like the previous poster, I too had a leak. The front hatch was not caulked. This was easily fixed and now both hatches are bone dry even when submerged in water...but really, there is no excuse to send out a new boat with a leak.
Pros: very efficient, good speed, good glide, fast start up speed also excellent blend of primary and secondary stability--handles rough water well.
Cons: made in China, bottom hull could be stiffer

About Me
I have paddled canoes for decades and recently bought Current Designs VISION 150 kayak.
Pros / The Good
The VISION 150 tracks well, is comfortable, and stable
Cons / The Bad
IT'S MADE IN CHINA! My husband and 2 friends just bought Current Designs kayaks: Solstice, Willow and Suka. I bought the Vision 150. My boat has a leak into the aft hatch via the rudder cable that starts in the cockpit. On a more aesthetic note: its registration number is scratched in by hand -- barely visible/legible -- which I discovered only after looking for a while. The boat will be repaired and the customer service rep at Current Designs was apologetic and helpful; but I thought I should warn anyone considering the VISION 150 that it is manufactured in China as this information is not on CD's website and CD does not make that information obvious. Perhaps any boat could have a problem but it's curious that out of the four boats that we bought mine is the one that has a problem.
