Our designer Corran Addison lived 500 miles from the coast for nearly ten years, in Montreal Canada where some of the worlds biggest and most impressive river waves are found. As such, he was able to develop not only great river running SUP designs, but amazing surfing designs for these unique static waves.
However, we quickly realized that these amazing river waves are essentially Unicorns. What most people have are much smaller, gutless pour-over style waves that you have to paddle to. So we have taken our great Static river surfer, and created a board that will enable the user to paddle down easy whitewater getting from wave to wave, and when there, slice and dice like no other.
The Overthurster is certainly a challenge in whitewater, but that’s just part of it. Once you’re at the wave, you take out the tail skeg (no tools needed) and snap in the FCS fins (still no tools needed) and off you go.
The Overthruster is made from Kevlar and AerialiteX to make it as resistant as possible in the river environment, while still keeping it light and affordable.
