People in Greece show up for SUP
« on: October 18, 2018, 02:46:56 PM »
Most Naish emails are boring 'Look how well my paid hands are doing!' but this one makes it look like folks in Greece are still enjoying SUP.  Maybe it was their economic crash that held them back - food before play.  It's nice to see a bunch of folks getting together.  Sadly, the self-serving dirtballs did not feel the need to mention the other board manufacturers in the rankings.  Jeez!

It's nice to see the sport still growing, and changing peoples lives as it did mine.
It's not overhead to me!
8'8" L-41 ST and a whole pile of boards I rarely use.

Wow! Very unique event. Theat canal looks awesome. Very cool. Spied a coupla meg-sups too. Both my dad's parents were from Greece. I learned a bit of Greek early on but never got fluent.
"Tikanis" was the first word I remembered and even spelled it correctly first try!
It means, “how are you?
One could go into a mall in Kansas and ask a teenager "What is a surfer looking for?, and the answer will always be, "The perfect wave"

Great looking event!
Love to see this kind of stoke and participation at an amateur level.

I suspect that it draws so many people is because it may be the only way to ever paddle though the Corinth Canal.

It looks good on video...  I wonder what the two 14' Men's winner paddled?  It appears the first guy used to paddle for Naish. (if you look him up)
