Looks like the 14' Search (or similar) might be a reasonable foilboard-alternative for guys like me ;D

Jim, yes it probably would be, but I meant that the 14'er would be a total foil substitute (no foil neccessary).

Unfortunately I will miss the Sunova Watermans Challenge, it sounds like a great event.

I'll subscribe to it right now if you can suggest a way to ship it just as easy :)

No problem..... Sunova has 2-piece 14' Raceboards flying to all the races, so a 14' Search would be a cakewalk.

Here's a 10' Speeed and a few raceboards

Had me one of those long before Sunova even made race boards. Not what I had
in mind, though I'm really glad they came to the market with it.

The Teal Speed in Creek's Photo at the factory is mine.  I wanted it for travel and I wanted it immediately.  Solution was the two piece setup.  It is a solid setup.  It uses all the right parts; Carbon tubes or rods in solid carbon holes, four titanium screws, each side is capped in a carbon panel with tongue n groove, and each half has it's own auto Gore vent.

I have had it for a couple months now and tend to use it everyday.  Surfing ( head high waves to ankle high shorebreak) and flatwater and it is perfect.  It adds about a pound and a half.  But the trade off of being able to take it on trips as regular baggage is a huge benefit.  I have taken it apart to check it about ten times and all is fine.  I have checked the Carbon panels, screws, tubes and all check out fine.

Sunova does everything top notch.  This is no exception.

Also there are containers that come to the US and you can get a 14 search.  Just place your order and wait.  I just did not want to wait

I have a two piece "Creek" on order, as I travel a lot for work, almost always to coastal areas with surf.  As this is not a common issue and off the OP original topic, if you don't mind, I may PM you for some advice on the traveling part (e.g. bag, spare parts....etc).
But I will post a review of the two piece, when I can.
One piece "electric" Creek 9'4"
Two piece Sunova Creek 9'4"
CoreVac Cannibal Blade 8'8
Angulo surfa 9'8
Naish Mana 10'
Red Sport 11'
2014 Naish Glide 14'
Werner nitro
Black project three part paddle

Yes Please PM me we can talk about the Sunova Two piece and travels.  And when you get your two piece board,  we can just come up with our thread and have more pics.  I don't think Creek would mind either way.
