Sorry guys, to me that looked pretty lame.  Although you can't knock the outstanding technology and execution, the ride itself seems only slightly more exiting than pedaling a lifecycle on a dock overlooking a beautiful lake...

Great design.  The "wand" foil / adjuster is cool.  I would love to see a video showing that in action.

The adjuster is pretty standard. Most hydrofoil designs with potential for a range of speeds use some surface-feeling wand to adjust the angle of attack of one or more wings. It's how they keep from blowing out of the water.

Bean, c'mon, it is 2017.  Lifecycle on a foil on a dock overlooking a beautiful lake.  No foil, no sport.
I'm with Bean.  This thing won't go farther than some lake in Wisconsin. California, Hawaii, forget about it.

"The front tiller section lets you carve down steep ocean swells and over rough chop."  That is the part I want to see.

Yeah, because there are no tourists there looking for something fun to do.

How would they make time for something silly looking with all the underwater rock running?

Saw a group out on non-foiling a few weeks back in English Bay.  So the slow version of the water bike has made some inroads.  Not sure how big the market is for a foil bike.  Dreaming that it will be in the Olympics one day might be somewhat of a stretch.

Do like that it can get up and on to a foil.  That was pos.  But you are major stuck once you stop pedaling.  Wet wet.

I have to admit, it would be a reasonable alternative to the water trikes, and pedal boats (as long as there are no shallow reefs).
