Titouan Puyo and April Zilg top the current 2017 World SUP Tour standings
Titouan Puyo and April Zilg hold on to the current 2017 World SUP Tour standings presented by Salt Life through the Naish Columbia Gorge Paddle Challenge and 6 events. Titouan maintians a 2,900 point lead over Travis Grant in second 
and a 4,122 lead over Mo Freitas in third place with two events remaining in 2017. April Zilg, with her adjusted top three race points total and the East region bonus holds on to a slim 400 point lead over Annabel Anderson and a 2,700 point lead over Fiona Wylde in third place. Both Annabel and Fiona can add one more points event to add to their total before the final event at the Pacific Paddle Games.
The Battle of the Bay on September 23rd and the finale, the Pacific Paddle Games on September 30-October 1st are the
last two events for competitors to earn points for the Salt Life bonus money and be crowned the World SUP Champion for 2017. With thousands of points still available, many competitors have a chance to jump into the top three and take over first place. Some competitors may have their total points adjusted after the Battle of the Bay in San Francisco since this will be the last regular season event and competitors top three points race finishes go towards their their total points plus points earned at the Pacific Paddle Games. Their is also a 1,000 point bonus that will be given to the top points leaders in Men’s and Women’s after the Battle of the Bay. The Japan and Korea event points will go toward the 2018 point totals for competitors.

WST Overview
The top 3 WST events plus the tour finale (PPG) points in the Elite-Pro division will determine the 2017 WST Champions. A competitor may compete in as many events as they want in the Elite-Pro division as their lowest single event points earned would be dropped and replaced by a higher point value from another race during the year. Elite-Pro competitors may also earn 1,000 bonus points by winning the overall series in each of the three regions, West, East and Asia WST regional series (see below schedule). To qualify for the Salt Life bonus money and crowned the WST Champion, Elite-Pro competitors must compete in the WST finale at the Pacific Paddle Games on September 29th – October 1, 2017.
