Put a hitch on the Bug -  added a hitch-haul - welded a pocket for a "T" I made from scrap metal (old ATV shipping frame)  - ta' da!! Oh - and the front rack is one from  cheapo' $20 universal set from Auto Zone. I couldn't make the back-end work but this is better anyway. Very little front overhang means low-lift/stress at highway speeds. Mostly, I use it to run to the nearby lakes and streams where the time to inflate is longer than the drive to get there :D

Cool.  I don't camp but those 'floor cloths' make a lot of sense.  I walk thru a Federal camping area on the way to the beach and I have seen very few of these.  Given we have lots of sand spurs, people who live outside would have figured this out?  Surprisingly few also have dog fencing but plenty of dogs.  Maybe they have not been to a dog show and seen the outside areas.

Flip that board over before than fin rearranges your forehead.

This system has worked well. The rear support mounts in the tow hitch, it is hinged so access to the tailgate is easy, and can be removed entirely in seconds if full use of the truck bed is needed.

:D It's a bit low for forehead-whacking. The Bug is short. This does seem like a good rule tho'.

You step forward and bend over to pick something up...  I'm a little over-sensitive to fins sticking down--I've walked into too many of them. The garage door at Ponohouse is too low for fins up but will fit one board fins down. After three forehead peels I park the damned truck outside, fin up like God (or Laird) intended.

2005 Toyota Noah X , 2L,  4wd , 7 seater.  Can seat 4 with a quiver of kooksticks inside, but must try to squeeze 5 this weekend as the whole family will be  kooking , goal is to get a group shot of everyone standing on foam at the same time  :)
