That's great. Any info on who that is and where they are? I'm curious what area gets that kind of open ocean swell close enough to have a ski take off.

Makes me wonder, who's going to be first to go to Cortez Bank and ride one back to the mainland? ;)

So how did he get it to lift? No video of the start. I'll assume it's the jetski or boat that's recording him pulled him up. I guess one needs to add a boat to the shopping list when getting into foiling without a kite or sail.

Yes we used the ski to get going on this day but it was only 15 to 20 knots so hard to paddle into the bumps on a prone board, with a bit more wind it is very doable to paddle in.

For learning to downwind foil do you think towing in is an easier way to figure it out?  And then what's easier prone paddle foil or SUP foil?

definitely towing, just so you dont tire yourself out trying to paddle onto waves all day if nothing else. if you actually focus and really pay attention to the waves, fnding on ramps and flat spots to get around the wave infront you dont need much at all!

someone is going to do this with e-foil and it's going to be amazing. all glides and no worries about launch or having to pump between swells.

Especially if they can work out a way to put power back into the battery's or use the whole deck as a solar panel.
