Paddle out this morning to find the regular crew + 2
One is a nice guy from Hong Kong riding an 11'6 Laird with real style... fun to watch.

The other guy is one of the "A" team proners... on an 11' SUP/windsurfer (complete with dagger board slot)
I have more respect for him than any other surfer in the area. He gets it.
Lots of North Shore big wave experience on Oahu.

He said it's his 2nd time out on SUP. Mid 40's... very fit... great surfer.
He says with a smile... "don't tell anyone that I'm SUPing now"
He is already in surf stance, doing spin turns and catching most waves he goes for... then riding them well.

Then he says "Can I try your board?"
"Of course"... he hops on my 8'10 Allwave and proceeds to catch a bunch of waves before he leaves for work.

Day 2 and he's already riding an 8'10 with no troubles... I would expect no less from a true waterman.
Fun to watch someone adapt that quickly
And I gotta say... it felt good to have someone of his ability take up SUP and dig it
