Wilderness Adventurers of Ontario is a not-for-profit, member run club for outdoor enthusiasts who enjoy activities such as camping, sea kayaking, flatwater and whitewater canoeing, hiking, cycling, snowshoeing and cross country skiing.

Originally started in 1978 as "Trent Canoe", our sights were firmly set on building the absolute best line of Cedar strip canoes. Our quality expectations were set very high from the beginning, resulting in having to manufacture practically everything needed for our boats in house including seats, yokes, thwarts and related items to fully complete the canoes.

Beluga started out by producing accessories and safety equipment for freshwater canoeing. From the outset, Beluga has been driven by a desire to innovate, to develop new ideas and confront them with existing products and equipment We now provide more than eighty different products for canoes, whitewater kayaks and touring kayaks. As well, in response to customer suggestions we have developed a number of complementary accessories useful for hiking, camping or travelling.

With Elie, we bring over 40 years of expertise to the table. We offer you our family-owned entrepreneurial spirit, in-depth innovation and passion for perfection. When it came time to choose a name for a high performance recreational kayak line, it was only fitting to give it our family name: Elie.
