I bought this as a boat I could run rivers and shred waves with, and it is good at that. There is room to get your food and rescue gear in. It is very comfortable. The relitavely long planing hull brings it up on the plane on very small waves making ferries easy .It spins more easily than my Gliss, is lighter and easier to roll. I was surprised that it is more forgiving than my old Prijon Hurricane and has excellent secondary stability. When surfing the bow does not purl as easily as the Gliss. Putting it upright is not as easy as the Gliss, but somebody heavier than me will probably do better. It is not a good rescue boat, The stern bar is to near the cockpit for a swimmer to hold easily and it is too slow to shunt boats to the bank. A good boat in my veiw

About the reviewer I have owned one of these for 3 years. I started paddling w/w about 15 yrs ago and sea about 3 years ago. I have paddled about half a dozen different sea kayaks over the years including a Skerray, a Capella, a Seayak, a Barracuda, an Avatar, an Easky and a Romany Test environment Coastal waters around Newfoundland and Nova Scotia, in a wide variety of condition and very occasionally I have ventured out into 35knot winds. I have done several overnight trips with it. Review Construction and Outfitting:- The plastic does not appear as stiff and hard as some however there is no sign of oilcanning and it copes with abrasion well. The hatch covers are still watertight and there is plenty of luggage space. I did have a small leak develope near the bottom of the front bulkhead and have to buy a special sealant to mend this. The outfitting is good and I remain comfortable for 3 to 4 hours. The foot pegs can be adjusted while in the boat which means you can relax the fit for a rest when on easy...
