Chances are if you kayak, you will have heard about someone who has had a shoulder dislocation or strain. If you keep in your rectangular paddlers box you will decrease the chance of this happening. Imagine you draw an imaginary rectangle with your paddle shaft, your arms and your torso. Now try to maintain this rectangle as much as possible and keep your arms safe while in this position.
