Nice idea: turn any SUP board into a skulling boat.





The strange thing is that the feet are moving during the stretching phase. Normally, when skulling, the feet stay in the same place and the body slides backward, creating an extra pull on the oars. But the boards move pretty smoothly and fast, and for just under $1000, this may be a nice gadget to get a different sort of workout on your boards.

On second inspection, I noticed that the outriggers/oarlocks move together with the feet, so it does make sense. The advantage it that the center of gravity roughly stays in the same place, i.e. less problems with a diving nose etc. Disadvantage may be that the whole thing feels different than what a classical rower is used to...
