Well the day has come, SUP is now acknowledged as something that is fun and acceptable according to surfline.

Here is the article if you haven't seen it yet: Diversionary tactics

Nothing groundbreaking but basically they are validating SUP as something to do if and only if its flat, so downwinding is officially acceptable. I wonder how long it will take, if ever, when they routinely showcase the other aspects of SUP, like surfing. I also wonder how many crawlers will look at this and say, yeah its cool to downwind when its flat (because they read it on surfline)

I am so glad that surfline validated my passion of the last four years! In celebration, I did a downwinder from my house to the harbor... Then an up winder back.

Tomorrow, I shall celebrate Surfline's acceptance of SUP with a dawn patrol session at Creek!

Yee haw!

It's only a matter of time until there is little/no distinction.

it may still take some time, you don't want to piss off your core audience and risk losing them, even if SUP is logically a fun way to enjoy surfing

Had a pretty fun time on my New Assym ystrdy... Would have sucked to be on anything else... Spreading the love!

Wish I had me something from Da Hammer series to really take it to the next level, however... :blah:

After not surfing for 3 months, one of the "A" team locals dabbled in SUP... now he's first out before sunrise... SUSing everyday, loving it.

Today a new kid showed up at the peak. A young gun surfer, 5th time out on SUS... falling a lot... smiling a lot.

What's not to love?

You nailed it! The first and only board to ever rip like a short board and nose ride better than all longboards ever made all in a 200 liter package. I hear it is the holy grail.

What more could you ask for?
