Feb 5 Social Soul FB Decided to go for a quick paddle down a 5km section of my local class 2 river run. After a week of temps in the -20 range, the river ended up being frozen completely over for a good portion of the run and I had to hoof it carefully across the ice, hoping it was frozen solid enough to not fall through. Sketchy at best! I did get to test the new Body Glove creeking boot in ice conditions and I was very pleased. So there is that I suppose.
Feb 3 Social Standup Journal FB Backbends are a journey that takes one deep into the center of themselves, they are about finding ones inner strength and courage. The spine’s incredible structure houses the central nervous system. Backbends stimulate the nervous system and increase the flow of energy throughout the body. They have helped me surrender my ego and open my heart to self-love and inner strength. Upward facing dog is the foundation to all backbench. Tips: relax the shoulders away from the ears and lengthen through the abdominals to create space between each vertebra instead of focusing on bending backwards.
